ORO VALLEY MARKETPLACE GRAND OPENING IN OCTOBER

In October 2008 Vestar Development held its grand opening for the new Oro Valley Marketplace project in Tucson, Arizona. The 775,000 square foot shopping center is anchored by Walmart Supercenter, Century Theatres, Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Petco, DSW Shoes, Tilly’s, and Ulta Cosmetics. Retail pad users include Chase Bank, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, The Keg Restaurant, In N Out Burger, with many more users to come as the rest of the center opens. In addition, the retail shop tenants include Coldstone Creamery, D’Arcy McGee’s Irish Pub, Famous Footwear, Alltel, Pacific Dental, GNC, GameStop, Verizon, Sport Clips, Styles for Less and Bikes Direct. David Malin, Project Manager for Vestar added, “We are thrilled about the October opening of Oro Valley Marketplace. The Town of Oro Valley was a natural choice for the location of a new retail development, and the impressive list of retailers that we’ve attracted have been highly courted throughout the nation, and we are thrilled to bring them to Oro Valley.” The project has been well received by the residents of Oro Valley. The shopping center has impressive architecture that blends with the natural environment and the breathtaking Catalina Mountain Range as the backdrop. The Oro Valley trade area also has some of the highest incomes in Tucson per household and the project is directly across the street from the Oro Valley Hospital and the Innovation Park master planned Business Park. In addition to the strong existing residential base, these two projects add some solid daytime employment to the area.
